Demand:The residency period should be reduced to 3 years.
DRDO Hqrs reply : STA'B'--> TO'A' -Minimum Residency Period (MRP) 3 years provided person has improved qualification M.Sc /B.Tech /B.E. If failed, chances are given for 4 and 5 years. Otherwise minimum MRP 6 years.
TO'A' --> TO'B', TO'B'-->TO'C' and TO'C' --> TO'D' -
* Enhanced Education Advantage (EEA) will be given by MRP of 4 years. Otherwise MRP is 6 years.
*EEA can be availed only once in the entire career.
Regarding Proficiency
Test (Category B)
DRDO Hqrs reply : Only before promotion from TO'D' to TO'E'.
It would be waived for those with M.Sc / B.Tech /B.E or PhD.
